The firm specializes in audits of employee benefit plans, local unions, and performing compliance agreed upon procedures. 

This is a full-time, long-term career opportunity.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, lead, and execute employee benefit plan audits.
  • Audit complex areas as well as prepare financial statements.
  • Schedule, delegate, and review the work of staff.
  • Keep partner informed of engagement status and issues.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
  • Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is required.
  • Minimum of two years of public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statement audits.
  • Prior experience with an established public accounting firm is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced, interactive, team environment.

Bookkeeper

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for processing transactions, complete account reconciliations, process payroll, and support multiple clients’ accounting functions. This is a full-time, long-term career opportunity serving several Berry & Co. clients on a permanent basis.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support a variety of accounting functions for clients
  • Preparation of financial statements bank reconciliations, accounts payable / cash disbursements processing, processing payroll and related payroll tax returns, support client’s QuickBooks needs, and other bookkeeping services for multiple clients.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience processing accounting transactions, accounts payable, account reconciliations, cash disbursements, and supporting clients' accounting functions is strongly preferred.
  • Associates degree in Accounting (or related field) is preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered as a degree equivalent.
  • Factors such as experience, education, skills, and knowledge will impact pay.
